Rural Delivery, founded
in 1976, is published 10 times a year. As a general interest
farm and country journal, Rural Delivery has developed
a strong following among full- and part-time agricultural producers,
and their families. The magazine is distributed by mail to subscribers,
to newsstands, retailers, and manufacturers serving the farm
business community. Regular features in Rural Delivery include
farming, gardening, beekeeping, home-based livestock production,
and country living in general. Because of its informative
and entertaining content, and its magazine format, Rural Delivery
is not like a read-once-and-throw-away newspaper. It stays around,
providing advertisers a long "shelf life".
Horse and Pony, the Atlantic region's only equine magazine,
founded in 1987, is published six times a year. Editorial content
spans a broad range of management, training and equestrian activities
- from dressage to draft pulling, team penning to leisure trail
riding. Copies of Horse and Pony are distributed by subscription
and controlled circulation to riders, drivers, trainers, stable
owners and hobby enthusiasts in eastern Canada and the US. Individual
copy sales through tack shops, feed stores and newsstands, and
distribution to veterinary clinic waiting rooms and affiliate
groups provide additional exposure to horse people.
Founded in 1990, Atlantic Beef
is the only magazine devoted exclusively to beef cattle production
in this region. Published five times a year, each issue of Atlantic
Beef zeros in on questions of concern to farmers who want
to grow and market more and better beef; and make money doing
it! This magazine brings together all facets of beef production
in the Atlantic Region. Each issue is distributed by means of
retail store sales and to subscribers including producer groups.
In addition, copies of each issue are also mailed to provincial
and federal government personnel and to industry representatives
involved in the production, processing, and marketing of beef.
Atlantic Forestry, the voice of woodlot owners and the
forest industry in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and
Prince Edward Island, is now in its seventh year. The magazine
is published six times a year. Each issue is filled with valuable
information, market news, and articles of interest to people
in the industry. This magazine is distributed by subscription,
retail sales, and to forest management groups, Christmas tree
producers, sawmills, forestry associations, pulp mills, and woods
workers throughout eastern Canada and the northeastern US.
